anything like me...

My husband has loved Brad Paisley's song..."Anything Like Me" since he found out we were having a boy.  The chorus goes something like this

He's gonna get in trouble, oh, he's gonna get in fights
I'm gonna lose my temper and some sleep
It's safe to say that I'm gonna get my payback
If he's anything like me

Let's just say my husband wasn't the easiet of children when he was young.  Got in trouble and punished a lot.  Was once told he could have chocolate if he said Thank You or if not he would have to go to bed...let's just say the chocolate was safe {Um...who could pass up chocolate?} .  However, as I watched him pray over our son, through the baby monitor, I became very aware of what a rarity he is these days and just Thanked God that he is my husband and our son's father.  Who my husband is now is EXACTLY who I want our son to be when he grows up.

He is loving.

He is kind.

He sacrifices for his family.

He loves his wife {That's Me :) }.

He loves Jesus.

He loves others.

He is humble

He puts his family first
I can count on him 100% of the time
He believes in me
He is an AMAZING Dad
He is honest and sincere
He is a MAN! {By this I mean he is manly...likes manly things}
He is silly
He is athletic
He is a leader
He has Godly values and expectations
He helps others in need
He puts others before himself
He talks {about feelings...not sure most men do this}

There are SO many attributes that my husband has that I pray our son will gain throughout his life.  There are too many to list and some that I just can't put into words.  So, honey I hope our son is EVERYTHING like you {even if he is a pain to raise when he is younger} :)....<3 you!!!
